Bill and Laurie Foot
In the summer of 1997, Bill and Laurie Foot ("The Happy Feet") spent several months traversing the American Discovery Trail across the United States. Following the lead of Lewis and Clark, they kept detailed reports of the terrain, the people, and the beauty. This being the nineties though, they sent these journals out to an Internet audience by email, courtesy of numerous friendly individuals who allowed the use of their computers and internet access along the way.Bill and Laurie have graciously allowed these reports to be posted on the Web.

A year later, in 1998, the Foots were back out on the trail. This time they bicycled the northern leg of the American Discovery Trial between Denver and Cincinnati. These journals are also listed below.
